Continuing his breakneck pace of 2017 releases, the west coast’s reigning funkmeister Slynk has changed gears and unleashes something a bit different on the dancing masses. He’s once again teamed up with the ultra-talented and criminally underrated Granular Sumo, this time for a relentless barn-burner of a drum ‘n’ bass delight, “People Get Up.”
The track runs the gamut with something heavier for the serious d’n’b heads out there but with soaring synths and sing-along refrains to keep those looking for something a bit lighter in their drum ‘n’ bass happy. It’s a sure-fire dance-floor burner, custom built to bridge the gap between hard and funky, bright and dark.
“People Get Up” proves one again, that there’s no territory that Slynk won’t traverse to bring the finest, most thrilling dance music to his funky family.
