Bambi & Thumper in Comox has me falling for Island life

A couple of weeks ago I made my way to Courtenay, BC. Got me a sweet Airbnb just 10 minutes out of town at a blueberry farm hosted by a sweet family and their dog, chickens, and cats.

I’ve been living a nomadic life for nearly a year. Visiting and checking out places where I might call home someday. Vancouver Island has been calling me. I have never been north of Nanaimo, but I’ve been meaning to see why this area has been ringing in my ears for some time.

I’m happy to say I had an amazing time discovering the Comox Valley. While work kept me busy for a good chunk of my time there, I made a very conscious effort to make the best of my time to check out what I can. With the help of my bnb hosts, friends in Cumberland and Courtenay, I got some good insights and got to see some pretty cool places.

I had fallen for Comox Valley already, but on my last day, I was treated to a little icing on the cake and I got to witness a Bambi & Thumper playdate in real life. I stood far enough to not spook them and took this video clip. I couldn’t wait to share it with my friends! I knew they’d get a kick out of it. Crazy thing is that it has now gone viral! (as of 6/618 has 61k views and 1300+ shares, whaaat?! ha!)

I’m glad it’s made people smile and brighten their day. I guess by extension, my visit, and experience from my time out there just funneled into this moment.

Here’s some more pics of my time out there 🙂
